Hello Guys,
I joined Cognizant recently, the project interview calls which I am getting is not from my base location.
I have the location constraint, should I wait for the right opportunity or raise this concern to ADP team so they can look in to it?
As per ADP policy, one should not have any constraints and take the project as FCFS basis.

A bit extreme, still relatable

Oh, the beauty of the solo Sunday brunch ☺️🍳
I have a love-hate relationship with DU.
Good jobs for introverts? So over consulting.

Extroverts usually lack the understanding what it means to be an introvert. They think it’s a kind of deficiency that needs to be fixed. It would never occur to them that their non stop talking without really knowing and their not listening might be something that is not so perfect either.
...my stuff in order to keep my nerves at bay. Pushing someone that is telling your that they’re not ready to the point that they get flustered and tongue-tied is not going to do them any good but set them to failure in front of leadership and clients. We need to be supported and pushed yes but we have our own pace and technique that works for us
As a fellow introvert and having a past phobia about giving presentations, being pushed to do them and going through with it was the only way I was able to get over it honestly. I feel where you’re coming from but i’d agree is a good strategy to help overcome that fear
It is a good strategy but it has to be done in such a way that you don't fail. E.g. Present things you are intimately comfortable with at first then increase your responsibility slowly. I used to be terrified of public speaking and my way to get over this was to enroll in a public speaking class at a community college and present a lot in a small low stakes environment. Now I don't shut up on client calls and client presentations. Still super shy about meeting new people outside of a professional setting tho.
I can relate 100%. College-level public speaking courses are what helped me the most compared to before when I was in Highschool and I would literally skip school on days I would have to do a presentation because I was so nervous
Being an introvert does not mean you get to sit in a corner. Doing presentations is part of professional life. Know your material, then put your focus on delivering quality to your audience. It gets easier.
Also can support what KPMG 1 is saying, I forced myself to be part of a debating society and participated in trainings and now i don’t feel the stress anymore at all if someone pushes me to present. What has helped me was being recorded on video in trainings and seeing that from the outside I look very calm and super professional, even though from the inside I was quite nervous. Maybe you find settings where you can practice in such a way?
Something like 97% of people struggle with public speaking (extroverts included!). I promise, it gets better with practice. Eventually, you learn how to control your nerves and understand that you will come out on the other side no matter what.
