McKinsey & Company Hey folks!
Was wondering what sort of life sciences projects does usually the Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company take on?
Commercial, access and pricing, M&A, transformation, implementation? (all of them perhaps?)
Basically, what would someone with an LS background be mainly working on in these firms on a day-to-day basis?
Thanks!

If you want wfh, then wfh, no need to feel guilty. If your firm can’t provide wfh, then go find one providing it.
Erect boundaries. Tell the partner it’s better for you to do a hybrid schedule. This way you can check in with him twice a week and wfh the other 3. Don’t make it negotiable just a provision of notice.

If you’re billing your hours don’t sweat it.
I guess you could say we've always been hybrid. We could work from home pre pandemic, but most people either came in daily at varying times in the day or a few times a week. During and post-pandemic, not many of the associates have gone back. I haven't set foot in the office since March 2020, for example ( but I have gone to events for summer associates/recruiting season outside of the office). The younger partners also rarely go in, but a good chunk of the older partners go in daily.
Given that the other two attorneys sound like they are able to WFH and the assistant doesn’t even step foot into the office it sounds like you shouldn’t feel guilty. As long as you’re communicating so he can know when to expect you’ll be there or can ask you to come in if he really wants to see you that day.
What kind of law is this?
