What kind of cell phone/internet reimbursement programs do your organizations offer? Any WFH stipends or other COVID related perks you've seen? No guarantee it will continue but $30 month for internet. Just added to paychecks.

I just ask for a company phone now. It’s super convenient and I don’t have to worry about expensing anything. I’ll keep doing this anywhere I go moving forward

Beware of company phones being held over your head... I’ve been burnt by this previously. “We pay for your phone so you need to answer promptly when we email you at whatever hour of the night” “We pay for your phone so it’s not a big deal if you had to work on your days off” ... even though the work they needed was photoshop. Also “you use more data than everyone here” - was managing the company’s social media

Our company enrolled us with Joon. We get a total of $75/mo automatic reimbursement for almost anything. You link your cc and it factors in phone, internet, groceries, etc. I hit the limit with groceries alone but I think it’s a good perk.

Got an offer from a really small consulting firm that offers no health insurance or 401k match. Otherwise the firm seems like a great fit and something I’d love to be a part of. What are some things I should consider with the lack of benefits? I’m thinking I should negotiate a higher offer to make up for it? Thoughts?

honest opinions ended! am recently engaged & could not be happier about it. The ring is stunning and I LOVE it, it’s exactly what I wanted, however, there’s an inclusion on the stone that’s a dark dot that is extremely noticeable to me. Even arms length away I can see it. I never cared about the grading of the stone or if there was inclusions, as long as they weren’t visible to the naked eye of an average person. Am I terrible if I ask to go back to the jewelers & try swap the stone?

Am I overthinking it? Is there a reason why I might bring a different friend or opt not to bring a +1?

I had a really weird interview for Creative Director today. It’s a small startup. HR interviewed me and asked all the hard hitting questions (how do you get design inspiration, how do you deal with design roadblocks, what sets you apart for this role?) which I thought was odd for a screening interview. They made some affirmative noises then said the next step would be a design test (one pager) which I would present to a panel of interviewers including the CMO. Anyone else think this is odd?
