Hello Everyone! I am an ETL Developer with 9+ YOE. I have job offers from the below companies with almost same compensation. Can you suggest which is a good option to join if job security and work life balance is of priority? 1. Luxoft India LLP (A DXC acquired company) 2. HCL Technologies 3. Legato Health Technologies 4. Cognizant Technology Solutions Looking forward for your feedback and suggestions. Thank you in advance.
People in Ey FAAS GPS, what kind of work do you do and how are your hours?? What's the salary range for S1 with 2 YOE?
Tip: find an activity you enjoy that is at least moderately challenging—bonus if it’s outside, involves exercise, and/or is social For me, skiing this winter has been huge for my mental state
Someone want to explain how everyone in consulting can be this duped... we accept promotions for more responsibilities without knowledge of compensation... that literally doesn’t happen anywhere else. How dumb are we? Ps. I don’t count myself, I’ve never taken a promotion without jumping firms :) though plan on doing it next year - as SM
Anyone have a sense of compensation for a portfolio operations associate at a UMM firm? Pre-MBA
How do I combat a toxic culture in my school?
Also - got missed in the last post, but I just published changes to allow for inclusion of industry roles including a dropdown in the “stream” section and a place to include annual equity compensation
Do adcoms negatively view short company stints? Are you allowed to leave them off your resume/application? Example: 5 YOE at application Company 1 (0.2 years) - left for +30% TC Company 2 (2.5 years) - left for promo & + 50% TC Company 3 (0.5 years) - left due to toxic culture Company 4 (1.8 years) - Current
I have recently switched from Infosys to Capgemini. I'm already missing Infosys a lot, I have joined infy as a fresher and salary is the only concern there. Somehow i feel infy as home.
Can someone share about the culture at BCG and/or Bain in Australia. Contemplating a move at Principal/AP and would also like to understand if recruitment is happening at these levels. Thanks
Received an offer from Accenture for Manager Level 7 with base salary of 160k. Is the salary at par with the latest market trends?
Why does everyone here just talk about anything and everything around gay culture/relationships etc. I feel like I'm visiting some dating app or social forum. Aren't we supposed to talk about giving support to fellow members by helping them with referrals or which organisation is best for LGBTQ community kinda discussions. Or we like Gossiping so doesn't matter 😅
How interesting it is that the language ‘English’ restricted us to think what we can possibly think/experience/learn. I feel like because this language is so limited in words to understand our culture, it restricted several generations to learn beyond what we know today about our country and culture. I feel cheated 😭😞
I was laid off in April when there was just email and phones. Cut to five months later and I’m working again. Yay. But suddenly it’s all Zoom, Slack, Teams, Slides, Sheets. Email is dead. And phones are only for Zoom, Slack, Teams, Slides and Sheets. It feels like I woke up from a coma in a shitty version of the future and everyone else is fine with it. How did anyone adjust to this?
Have my first interview for an industry job (haven't interviewed since college 2 years ago for big 4). Any tips? Internal audit position
So I have applied for 21 jobs in the last 3 weeks and I have had just 1 recruiter reach out and no interviews yet. Most of them are for jobs I feel I am a strong fit for. Is it a clear indicator that my resume is not attractive? Or is this level of striking out expected?
What is the day to day like for a role in international corporate banking? Seems like they have different industry coverage groups such as fig, tmt, industrials, etc. How is pay and bonus? Citi and Barclays are the two banks that have international corporate banking from what I seen but maybe other BB banks as well.
Anyone here work BlackRock ? How have you liked it? Are y’all remote? What are the benefits like? What are average raises and bonuses like?
How do you deal with draining family members? My wonderful mother takes on a LOT to keep the family life running back home (across the country with matters that can't really be helped from afar). She's stressed and every time we chat it's just an endless swell of negativity and problems - we all have our own issues and just having to listen can drain me for the week. She blows through boundaries because she needs to vent and I'm not sure how to protect my energy and still be supportive. Ideas?
Hey fellow Disney Lovers, I generally have a few lessons in which I can use Pixar shorts to teach students how to identify and discuss literary signposts, how to identify and explain the development of theme, character traits, and other narrative elements. What are some of your favorite shorts? I am trying to incorporate activities where my students get to choose their own clips for independent practice with these skills and need a variety to draw from.
Is doing freelance work on the side (when I’m off the clock, of course) considered taboo? Considering signing up for Fiverr to make some fun money but I don’t want any bad blood with my current job because I really like it and am not planning on leaving any time soon. (Sorry if this is a dumb question, this is my first copywriting job out of college and I’ve been 100% remote, so it’s hard to get a feel for things like this!)
Why or why wouldn’t you take an industry role should an opportunity present itself? Assume comparable or increased salary.
I’m sore. BF and I WFH all last week and let’s just say coffee breaks got on the wild side. Let’s see what this week holds..
How would you make the business case for adding more diversity to the workforce. I think we take it as a given that people will support this, but some people need to see $$ and #s to be moved.
Guys, I have got an offer in Temenos as Associate Delivery Manager and in Wordline as Project Manager. Wordline offering 1.5 lac higher than Temenos. Would like to know , in which among these companies, I'll have job safety, Professional growth , benefits , etc... Please advise. YOE : 11
Probably a stretch but I am a 2020 grad with about 6 months experience—-anyone know of any firms/companies hiring young attorneys in the DFW area (or remote for TX-barred attorney) in the transactional/corporate space? *I am strictly looking for firms/companies hiring. Please do not post advice about how I need to stay working where I am or to check LinkedIn.
Best side project you’ve ever seen?
This might have been a question that's already been asked, but how are you affording your top MBA programs (besides some firms' sponsorship)?
Just joined a smaller firm who uses Paychex for their 401k provider. I noticed they do not offer too many options for funds to invest in and seems lower end than my prior Schwab 401k offered. 1) Anyone have experience with Paychex and have similar observations? 2) I’m leaning towards doing enough 401k pretax contribution on Paychex to get the company match and then do the rest as a Roth IRA to obtain better investments. Any other options I’m not thinking of?
What are some scenarios that would cause the USCIS to deny someone’s H1B after being selected in the lottery?
