Which one to choose between Optum and Tiger Analytics for Data Scientist position? Where can I expect better data science domain expertise (In my previous companies I found very less understanding of Data Science practices as team)? Heared good things about both of these. Also hearing Tiger is expanding rapidly and getting some crap projects as well in the name of data science. Could someone put light on these things?

Most common senior level exits I see split by people looking for a more relaxed environment and focus on their families and people more focused on their careers.
On the family side - most common to take generic reporting roles that aren’t specific to FDD experience.
On the career side - CFO at portcos (generally earlier stage and 50:50 whether you actually get the CFO title), PE ops teams focused on finance (more rare), corp dev, internal FDDish roles at PE, and lateral moves are most common.
All said, exits aren’t that common at the more senior levels (if you were going to wash out it probably would have happened earlier) - comp gets quite good, the work isn’t that hard, problem situations are much more temporary than in industry, and the easiest most direct path to serious money is just working towards the next level.
That’s very helpful and I have some follow up questions
When you say serious money, what do you think is a serious money for you and when do you retain it or at what level?
I’ve not heard much about CFO at portcos. What exactly do they do and how transferable are there skills? Do people really hire a CFO for Big4 directors
Are your people paid well with decent work life balance? Perhaps you’re in the end game & don’t realize it
I work for a B4 and we are paid market. I’d say we work the same as other offices just have a solid core director group in my local office
