Looking for some honest advice. Considering an offer with SocGen B’lore for Specialist Software Engineer position with 5.5 years exp and into Tech service management. Could you please tell me a bit about following points?
- 25% of the compensation(5Lakhs) is Variable. Does company even pay 60% of it at the end of the year if you perform say 4/5 rating?
- What is an average annual hike that the firm gives?

Completely agree - is there a moment in your DEI work where you remember where you exercised patience you can remember?
Allyship, tact and common sense. Understanding the impact of actions of a person in power on employees. For example: my boss saying that when he would observe biased behaviour - he would not intervene, because he would like to stay « neutral » 🤦♀️
DEI practitioners need to be humble and open to learning about different cultures. They need to be willing to challenge their own assumptions and biases.
Empathy, emotional intelligence and resiliency are core, but you need stakeholder management and influencing if you're going to drive change at senior levels. Also, if you're solo, you'll need research and report writing as well as presentation. If you lead a team, you need coaching and line management.
