What skills should I acquire to become a manager/ product manager? Do I need to have an MBA?
YOE: ~7 in software development (fullstack)Good people skills, soft skills etc. Since I don't have experience as a product manager at work I am getting rejected wherever I apply. I have managed small teams thats it. How do I get a first footing, preferably with existing qualifications, Suggest if possible with MBA, am ready to learn skills but learn on my own, am a quick learner, how to get that offer

A colleague told me today that Google separates Product Manager and Product Owner as two separate roles. I believe that one PM role is preferred in the industry and most modern software companies, especially FAANG companies, only have PMs. Just curious what others have experienced and if I'm correct in my assumption.

Currently 31 with 6.5 YOE and single . Should have NW of 250k by end of this year. (No significant assets in India). During meetings, why do some people blurt out the first idiotic thing that comes to mind rather than taking a second to intelligently think through their answer?

My company covers in depth results each week, including meetings set/attended, wins, revenue, retention etc. I feel as if evaluating in such depth is detrimental to the psyche, as you never get to “ride the high.” In addition, some weeks are simply slower than others, and it’s not always representative of what the results at the end of the period or quarter will be. Is this not a big deal, and I’m I placing too much importance on it? Or is it beneficial to review results less frequently?

Does nagarro deducted tax from first month's salary, as company is saying that we can only show our investment once first salary is credited.

Currently SM at Bain (4 years post MBA) and was approached for a senior associate role in portfolio ops at a large PE fund. Been told 2.5 years to VP and another 2.5 years to director. Feels like the role is a bit junior but offers a 50% pay jump.
