1983 Toyota starlet that had brakes that sometimes did nothing at all and you had to pump the pedal
38 years old. Still looking forward to my first car 😂
Surely any day now... Big city dweller?
07 VW Passat, from before they turned the model into an impala - still love seeing them around
First car i owned was a 1993 Honda Accord with the softest and best quality cloth seats I’ve ever sat in.
First manual car I owned was a 1991 Alfa Romeo 164S, although I learned how to drive a manual on a near rusted-in-half Nissan 240 the night before going out of state to pick up the Alfa and drive it back.
I picked my friend up in the BMW I had at the time and drove that to fetch the Alfa. The frame on the 240 did snap when lifting it for an oil change, then my buddy upgraded to an S14 and it too was a crappy rust tub.
1990 Ford Tempo for high school. Upgraded to a 1993 Ford Ranger for college. First car I bought when I got a real job out of college was a 2000 Nissan Maxima (base). After law school and when my former Big Law bonus was paid, 2007 Audi S4.
Now, 3 kids later, multiple job switches and promotions, I have my dream ride: a 2019 Toyota Sienna…
A 2001 VW Golf TDi. Was fun to drive with a 5 speed manual and never got below 40mpg
I've heard nothing but praise for those, it sure sounds fun :)
My first car was 1975 monte Carlo thing was awesome just not on gas lol. Fast as heck and watch the gas gauge go down to just as fast. I was 15 years old everyone loved the car but I couldn't hardly go no where I guess that's why my parents got it I wasn't out any where cost to much to drive.
1956 Chevy bel air. Burgundy and silver. This was in 2004. My dad wanted me to know how to drive without power steering or power brakes or auto trans.
Renault 5. Loved it.
Porsche 944. 16th birthday present. I was a bit of a brat, but, in hindsight, it was the worst car they ever made. I blew the engine out of it—twice. Essentially, it was a souped up VW, but I decided to off-road in it. The teenage mind…
This wasn’t mine, but it was exactly like it!
Pro
'91 Camry. My dad had bought it new a few years before and sold it to me for a steal when he bought a Grand Caravan for the family.
Phenomenal fuel economy and I loved it since I didn't have anything to compare it to. I kept it till I bought a lightly used '00 Avalon. That thing was one of the best highway cruisers I've ever driven and I put ~25k miles per year on it and drove it pretty much till the wheels fell off.
A salvage title 1997 ford escort sport in 2001 lol, I thought I was badass😂 just simple great times when one was a kid.
2000 Camry LE 2.5L 4-cyl
The first car I owned was a 2012 3 series. I had good memories but more bad ones
1988 Mustang LX. Drove it until my junior year of college. Affectionately known as the Rustang, pumping out 93 violent horses from its 2.3 liter four banger…
1998 Toyota Corolla
Seat Ibiza ST '15.
Got totalled by a bmw 3GT crashing in it from the back at low speed. Last time I got a cheaper car.
63 Buick Wildcat my grandparents gave me when they downsized. Wish I still had it! First car I paid for on my own was a 66 Corvair for $300. I found a bonus bag of weed under the seat when cleaning it out.
2000 Honda Civic. I was 14 with summer work money bought it for 1,200 dollars. It was great till it started overheating.
