ACN no doubt about it! You can always leave after a couple of years and go to Cisco or wherever you want for a better position! :)
Not sure what benefits Cisco offers, but ACN has pretty good benefits, also if you are a working parent ACN has very good benefits for working parents as well.
Cisco. Way better on resume. Likely a lot less hours than consulting.
Which state and level?
NYC / M
240 base is better. I feel. And too much consulting is also not good. Lol. 44k joining bonus is like 25k after tax. One time. Also what role are you playing and in which team matters at Accenture. If it’s within cloud technology good. You can try for tech cos with that experience and knowledge in future. Cisco is sears of tech - true but not all verticals
Do you know what business group would you be aligned to at ACN?
Strategy
Big tech will always pay better than consulting. Go with Cisco.. Get tge experience and on yuur resume. Exit to another tech firm and make bank $$
Cisco - at ACN you’ll be responsible for developing business and leading projects as a SM, I’d imagine it’s quite stressful, plus the fact that currently the base is less (signing bonus shouldn’t be factored into TC) and it’s not a difficult choice UNLESS you really think you will try to stick till MD, which can take a long time given you’re a lateral. You should be chilling way more at Cisco, and Accenture/consulting will remain open for you if you feel inclined to come back.
Thanks for the input! Well it was for M so no need for BD work but would have gotten the pressure soon.
If title is good at Cisco, go with that and jump to next level at different company in a year. Since no sign on you are not tied to them
Join accenture if you want to be on the Partner track. Else not much sense joining at this level without full commitment
Go with Cisco. ACN wlb is awful and the small gap in compensation can easily be made up in the next couple of years.
