I have some doubt regarding pf contribution... Say for example.. 12% of my base salary is 600 which gets deducted from my salary.. on the flip side.. the company has to contribute 600 to my pf (which is actually deducted from my salary only like already part of CTC)?. So my question again is that.. the company contributes 600 as well? PwC

Do you like living in lower cost city? If so, it’s a no brainer. Expenses don’t stop at rent in HCOL cities

Live where you like to live
I live in a lower cost city (although it’s rising) and I wouldn’t move to a bigger, expensive city unless there were other factors pushing me to do so, like if family moved there. The difference in salary if I lived in a high cost of living area does not make up for the costs I save living in my current area. Not even close. Do you have a spouse or kids? If not, there’s not really any harm in living in a less expensive city. If you need more opportunity, you have flexibility and can always just move to a different city.
In the lower cost city your rent, an after tax expense, will be $15-20,000 less per year. Your state income taxes could be lower as well. Fewer travel expenses and lost PTO days to visit the family you want to see anyways. And if you hate it you can always move back to Gotham. It sucks to take a pay cut but it sounds like you could be keeping more of what you earn with the lower job offer.
Choose where you want to live. Usually high cost city also comes with more opportunities, more diversity and more activities/events. I’m facing the same situation now and I think I will go with the first choice.
Decide which city or job you are pore interested in. No one can answer that for you
