MBA2 in my final semester here. Higher ranked program in a city I don't love. Focus on recruiting outcomes and alumni network. The degree is for life, and a higher ranked school gives more opportunities.
You'll find your people at school and may actually be able to create a home there for 2 years, and if not, MBA gives plenty of opportunities to fly home for 3-4 days.
Depends on how T10 the school is. If it’s HBS you should definitely go. If it’s NYU or similar, I’d take the school in your hometown.
Let’s say your hometown is LA. I don’t think USC and NYU are in wildly different tiers for recruiting for most jobs. Bc USC and UCLA are going to be over represented among employees there.
The only exception is if you’re going for banking or consulting or another very prestige oriented field
