What's a decent length of time for the entire interview process? From first contact to first day.

Why is it so difficult to make the next career move within your OWN company. I have over 7 years of experience across multiple departments and yet an external company is more willing to give an interview to select roles than your own home company for the same role internally!!

Where is the loyalty in that !!??

Anyone else feel drained giving interviews?
One company itself have multiple rounds, each round we need to prepare, same self intro etc.. (same for multiple companies)

Kind of casing stress as we need to work + Prepare + Give interviews.

I had a great experience at Microsoft, and would like to keep that door open in my mind, though my last connect has what I would call unfair characterizations due to a unique chain of events.

How do I be a decent manager to a coworker who's upset I've been promoted twice in two years and they haven't? We started out as coworkers, became decent friends after a few good moments, but went back to simply coworkers after they flubbed a few projects and I had to step in to clean up.
