PwC A recruiter from PWC reached out to me to ask if I’d consider a different office the one I applied to, since it’s full. It would be Boston, Hartford, Chicago, Minneapolis, Little Rock, Denver, San Francisco or San Jose. MSA candidate. Is there a fully remote option? Do you have to be in the office all the time? Is the compensation high at PWC? Is there a possible moving expenses? Any insight or advice would help me make a decision. Thank you!

I heard south side Chicago has the best deals on rent
Generally in order of cheapest to most expensive: lakeview, Lincoln Park, old town / Gold Coast/ river north. All areas are a lot of fun for single mid 20s
1.1k for a 1 bedroom on lake shore? Were you north AF or something? I'm in a similar situation as you OP and I pay $1.2k but live with roommates. There's no rule thumb, just be reasonable. I wouldn't spend more than $2k that's for sure.
I paid 1100 for a one bedroom on lake shore
$1000-1400
Chicago real estate is so cheap compared to major coastal cities
Do you wanna bring dates or escorts to your apartment? If so need a better one.
Should mention I’m transferring to Chicago, currently work in different office where COL is lower.
Don’t spend more than 30% of your take-home income (your paycheck after taxes, health insurance, 401k, etc).
This is my personal opinion.
This is good info, does anyone have any good neighborhoods? I’ve heard Gold Coast, old town, river north, and lincoln Park/lakeview we’re good. Any other affordable areas?
Forbes says 25-35% of net pay
KPMG2 Is it net pay? Everything I see says 30% of gross
