Does anyone know about associate compensation at the regional Atlantic Canada firms? The the big ones have all been posting job ads for associates in the 3-5 year range. Any insight on salary and billable targets?

As I'm moving to a new role in a small company, I have a doubt about my salary structure like the Basic salary part is only 20,000 while my take home is 62k after all deductions.

I'm concerned because the leave encashment & other things totally depends on the basic salary.

Are there not any rules for the Basic salary to be at a certain % of CTC or it depends totally on the company?

Also PF deductions they are offering only 1800 p.m but considering 20000 basic it should be 12% of 20000 right?

Does anyone have a salary range for an Accounting Manager position at a tech start up? It is well-funded, but they mentioned salary range may be lower than what I’m used to (investment banking) as there is equity as well.

As someone with a background in the military, is it worth it to try to go back to the government as a tax analyst or senior tax analyst for the Dept of the Treasury? Happy New Year everyone! Does anyone know how to figure out who is the recruiter managing exp hire for a specific office at McK? A friend of mine at McK in the office I’m interested in referred me a month ago and emailed a recruiter he knows to vouch for me (I am not cc’d in the email). Is it common and doable to switch from Bain/BCG to McKinsey after 2 years, in terms of 1) would that be heavily frowned upon within your firm 2) how receptive would McKinsey be to taking folks from Bain/BCG? Question for BCG 🐠, about to start in the firm as a consultant and looking at the options for the phone and everything seems to be quite expensive. I was thinking buying the cheapest which is the iphone SE but care to say if there is any software that might limit the phone that I would need to use? Or it is just email and calls and that is it? Also, why not allow android? For some of the prices in the list I could get a nice Android phone rather than a year old iphone.

My final round interviews are split to two days - Tuesday and Wednesday. When should I expect to hear back? Wednesday evening or Thursday?

4 years work experience after undergrad, no MBA. Can I get hired as a Consultant at BCG? Interviewed for Sr Associate about a year or so ago, made it to decision round then. My current comp is around what a Consultant would make so looking at that level.

What's the McK onboarding timeline? When do you receive the relocation & housing bonus, background and social check confirmation, links to training etc. relative to start date?
