OP: Promotion or no promotion, but assuming that you do want to join bcg and bcg wants to hire you : SC at Deloitte will most likely come in as a first year Consultant. Manager will most likely come in as a consultant as well; but depending on the interview performance, work experience etc. you may get some tenure. In a nutshell, highly unlikely that you will get the equivalent title and tenure.
These aren’t any hard and fast rules but general observations. And it has nothing to do with the fact that you are from Deloitte or PwC or Bain or McKinsey; it’s just the fact that before hiring someone as a PL or close to a PL, we want to give everyone enough time to familiarize with the BCG ways of working so that when you do become a PL you can manage teams more effectively.
Trick question.
There is no equivalent.
No one can compete with Deloitte’s superior consultants.
You think if Deloitte doesn’t see you fit for a promotion that BCG would take you? Typical D arrogance.
You guys are being dicks.
Deloitte Intern = BCG M.
Can confirm this is true. Deloitte recruiter reached out to me for an internship. I am a Principal at BCG.
Considering Deloitte is superior to Harvard. Their C = MBB Partner.😉
Ah. Funny folks. I was curious in trying to move to BCG if I don’t make promotion this year. So this is a serious question. BCG is a solid firm.
We take a lot of McKinsey people who are managed out
M at Deloitte = C at BCG, if you leave as an SC you would probably come in as a third year (senior) Assoxiate. Typical to down level by one
Post MBA roles is for consultants and goes C -> PL -> Principal -> Partner (non-equity) -> Managing Director & Partner
Yum, sloppy seconds
Ao I would imagine you land as a C since they usually bring people laterally a step down from where they were
Call me ignorant but on average how many years of consulting experience are necessary to make it to SC at Deloitte?
