I know this is in Pearland, but the right answer is Killens. Every time.
Any difference between them and Killen's STQ by the galleria? Or all the other Killen's around town?
There is no best...
Houston has a lot of good BBQ available. Here is my list of places in/around Houston.
Amazing:
Khoi - beef ribs!!! (the single best BBQ dish I've ever had), unique fusion dishes
Gatlins - brisket, ribs
Blood Bros - brisket, unique dishes, fusion dishes
Truth - brisket, sides (probably the best sides I've ever had)
Corkscrew - brisket
Pinkertons - brisket
Feges - brisket, unique dishes
Tejas Chocolate - brisket, unique dishes
Good, but not the best:
Burns
Killen's
Roegels
Luling City Market
Dozier's
Highly recommended, but I have not tried yet:
Ray's
Central Texas
Lonestar Sausage
Burn's Original
Triple J
Fainmous
Brook's
Lenox
Reveille
Southern Q
I don't understand the recommendation. If I was picking from any of these, I'd probably go to Rudy's. Rudy's is the best chain BBQ, consistently producing perfectly decent food at every location I've visited (literally, all over in the San Antonio, Austin, Houston, DFW areas):
Brisket House
Pizzitolas
Demeris
Goode Co.
The Pit Room
This person knows what they’re talking about. Second all the above especially Blood Bros and Feges.
Pinkertons X 100
Pinkerton’s forsure
Will have to check out Pinkertons, truth has been the go to and never let me down. The mac and cheese is the best I’ve had in the state at any restaurant
I love roegels
Killen’s
Second
Killens in Pearland or if you willing to venture farther, Kat’s BBQ in Santa Fe but make sure you get there by 11am because some items tend to get sold out by 12:30-1pm
Truth, Killen’s, Pinkerton’s, Corkscrew.
Truth is in the loop and the line is shorter than Killen’s. The pork ribs with the glaze at Pinkerton’s are top notch. Killen’s if you’re south. Corkscrew if you’re up north.
Pit Room brisket nachos and/or enchiladas at Candente if you’re looking for something a bit different. Thank me later!
I've heard a lot of good things about Tejas, Blood Bros, Gatlins, Killen, Roegels and Pit Room. I know Blood Bros is for pepper lovers, plenty of black pepper bark on the brisket so I enjoyed theirs.
Pinkerton's was incredible!
Just get there early enough, first time we stopped by was past 5p and they were already out of all the meat. Show up around noon
Hickory hollow, Rudy’s, 2 guys and 1 pit!
Triple Js smokehouse.
