Purchased 3 cars from CarMax. No haggling, no bullshit. All great cars.
I don’t know if you got your car yet but, 4th vote for Carmax.
Depending on what you want it may not be worth buying used. Interest is generally higher on used and prices for some used cars is more than new ones.
This is just my opinion as a guy who is really into cars and has owned several over the years. I really like Japanese cars for their real and perceived long term reliability. If you want to keep your car for 10 years like I do then your car will still be worth a decent amount of money if it’s a Honda, Toyota, Mazda and you maintain it. For example, I drive a 2015 accord I bought new for 25K and it’s worth about 11K today with a little over 100 K miles on it. If I were you the Toyota Rav-4, Honda CR-V, and Mazda CX-5 would be on my list. There is also the Carolla Cross, HR-V, and CX-3 if you want an even smalller SUV from these brands. Those cars will hold their value well (if you maintain them - keep service records). To answer your question - depreciation depends on a lot of factors - the market, the brand, how well you maintain the car. So that’s tough to answer.
I have used Vroom/Texas Direct Auto twice with good results
I used cars.com and got a great deal.
Word of mouth. Or if you're willing to spend some time looking around and dropping some cash on a PPI, Craigslist isn't bad.
Dealership for sure.. more reliable
Sewell dealerships are great.
Bought 2 cars from Texas Direct, won't go back there again. 1 from CarMax - pretty painless. 1 from Carvana - very painless.
i have a GLE350 if you want it
Dur truecar.com. They will give you a solid price a cross delears and you can pick.
I didn’t like my exp with Autonation fyi. It was a “new” car that had some work done before the sale including repainting part of the frame and they didn’t disclose it
