I have a fair amount of retail experience and have created a bowl to help fellow consultants who are interviewing in retail and CPG. My experience is across a wide range of topics (primarily non technical) and would love to help folks get their dream job. Would be awesome if others can join and contribute their knowledge.

"[F]lawless" 🤔
Sorry think I'm missing the joke here.. someone care to explain? 😛
Who told you it was flawless?
Sounds like the interviewer needs coaching. Nothing personal towards you, but it's just not good to give an impression to an interviewee that they got the role unless the interviewer is the sole approver of the role. Have you reached out to them?
Apply to a tier 1 firm?
Follow up, but assume they may no longer be interested. Also, firms are more likely to hire niche roles when they have a niche project need coming through the pipeline. But if that proposal is lost, they nay no longer need those niche skills. As such, you interview may have been flawless, but they may no longer need your skills.

Sometimes we have limited partner round slots. I’ve had times when I wanted to put 6 people through and had to pick 4.
At ACN, it took ages for new hires in my group to go from interview to offer. Part of the issue was the ridiculous number of people who needed to approve new hires, but also we needed to a sold role for that person to start in. It was pretty common for it to take weeks for an offer to be extended.
