What’s the best strategy to get an entry level job as a data scientist? Trying to look for a new job for a better salary. Worked 1 year as a senior data analyst and just finished up my masters in Data Science. Feel like I could apply to hundreds of places and go on many interviews but that seems super daunting. Sometimes they won’t tell me the salary range until the offer, take home assignments, live coding, panel interviews, etc… I already started the process but feel overwhelmed. Thank you! 🙏

I had call with the HR for he position based out of Mumbai everything in interview and they are ready to share the offer. however, I quoted for 10 lakhs and they said for fixed pay of 8.75.
Although, i checked on Google as well average pay they are giving is 9.7 lakh
So should I accept the offer as per their negotiation or shall positively tell them why 10 lakh is justified?

Coming to the realization that consulting is not for me (tech person) feeling angry that salaries at D will never be on pair with FANG and that leadership is not tech focused. For example you could be a soul contributor at fang making 240k and people at Deloitte wait 10+ years to earn that as Senior Managers because they need to climb the corporate ladder. It seems super clear cut to me now, if you want to make money in tech don’t join consulting firms. Am I wrong?
