You’re allowed up to 200 mg of caffeine daily throughout pregnancy, so any of the black teas you usually like are probably fine! Stay away from ashwagandha, which has been linked to miscarriages. People also say good things about raspberry leaf tea; there’s not a lot of science to back up any real benefits, but it’s nice and definitely pregnancy safe.
Raspberry leaf
There is zero evidence to support any negative implications and I know informed practitioners who have said it’s perfectly fine. I did it with both of my pregnancies without issue. It will not put you in labor. It just helps ripen and prepare your cervix. Most natural interventions will not put you in labor unless your body is actually ready. Just another common misconception.
Why no green tea? I haven’t heard anything conclusive on green tea outside of ensuring it’s taken into account with the overall caffeine intake.
Interesting… wonder if the antioxidants it provides counterbalances that risk. Adding this to my list of questions for the OB next visit (unless someone goes in before me and can confirm!)

Rooibos is safe
I like mint!
If you like green tea and are looking for a “replacement”, you might like oolong tea.
Pro
Black tea for a little caffeine (keeping under 200 mg caffeine/day, as mentioned above) and rooibos when I want a non-caffeinated option (there are some chocolate flavored ones I really like)
Huh? Who says you can't consume green tea?
I like ginger and peppermint
You can consume green tea with two conditions- 1) make sure you consume less than 200 mgs of caffeine daily (green tea does have the highest amount of caffeine); 2) space out prenatal vitamins and tea as much as possible (e.g., have the tea only in the morning while prenatals before bed)
