Oy, “best” in what sense. Do you only fly Delta from Atlanta, and have a need to accumulate skypesos, where your cc spend is specifically on Delta? Then maybe it’s the best, even then vanilla AX cards work, unless you care for the MQM bonus, MQD waivers etc
If the platinum card does not give you what you need, then it’s a card that makes you loyal to one specific airline. If you are not loyal to any airline due to your nearby hub… amex plat it is. We can’t possibly know your situation without you giving us a lot more context
Best in the sense of rewards and so close to getting to silver status so I would love to see free upgrades tbh

Silver status, and really entry status on any airline is kinda useless from an upgrade perspective in this day and age. Unless you don’t live in a hub and travel off days, but your chances are still in the ~15% at best. If you don’t spend a lot of money on Delta and just want miles, I’d look at a non-delta branded card with better category multipliers that allow you to accrue amex “points” at a higher rate and can be converted to their travel partners (delta included). Since you’re reaching silver, you’ll at least get a free bag and a few lesser benefits that the credit card would get you. Only other question is where you are based and if an AX/DL lounge is that important to you
Centurion card
If you wanna ball out, go for the delta reserve. Lounge access and good for earning miles
