Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance
Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?
Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.
Nagarro

Real talk: Ask to push the interview out 2-3 weeks so you can be fully prepared.
Next:
- Get ahold of “Case Interview Secrets” by Cheng. Read the section called “Issue Tree.” Nothing else.
- Find case partners and start doing cases. /r/consulting, people in your actual network, and Prep Lounge should give you a start.
- Google “consulting behavioral questions” and use the STAR or SOAR method to map out 5-7 stories that you want to tell and figure out how each can be tweaked to fit a range of questions
Good luck
Practice.
You’re advice is so powerful. Maybe suggest how OP should practice
Start by reading "Case in Point"
Check MBB websites and their company YouTube channels. Most have, I know Bain does, have vase interview examples posted. Helps translate what you’re prep material into real life execution— especially helpful when you are short on time.
Dm me if you would like to case together. In the same boat and looking for case partners
Good advice on trying to push back a bit. If you have the time, go through the free class at www.craftingcases.com . In my opinion by far the best case prep course out there and much better than reading through (partially outdated) books such as case in point. Other than that do practice cases and get comfortable with lots of mental math.
Bonus: I also really liked the different drills at rocketblocks.me - you can get a free trial as well.
Where do I find some good resources ?
Can always read or re-read victor chengs book. Every firm website also has practice cases and some of the big bschools consulting club casebooks can also be found on google if you dig.
Thanks guys for all the suggestions. I will try to push it out by three weeks and use all these resources
