MBA
I think it depends on what type of "consulting" you are trying to get into. If it's one of the accounting consulting roles, then I wouldn't think it would be that difficult. However, if you are thinking about management consulting, then it will likely be through networking/MBA program.
Isn’t FDD considered “consulting?” Lol I guess you’re probably talking about strategy, I would think MBA which doesn’t really seem worth it to me if you’re already in an accounting consulting role like FDD or restructuring which pay fairly decent as compared to putting yourself in a bunch of MBA debt to switch to a strategy role
^I completely agree with you @BDO 1. I'm not planning to get an MBA for this reason lol. I assume that when people talk about switching into consulting that they are usually referring to management consulting. Almost anything could be described as a "consulting" job haha. There are internal audit consulting roles at public accounting firms, but I would not want to do that type of "consulting."
