Does anyone have any insights on what a typical Sr. Associate Director makes at Boehringer Ingelheim? I have a range of 170-180k which I think is fair but don’t want to be underpaid. Also, any information regarding retirement planning or medical/dental benefits would be helpful. Haven’t gotten much out of HR. Thanks in advance!
Heyhey.
Looking to hire a product UX/designer to freelance and help design + run ideation workshops for our Fortune 100 client looking to drive innovation and create/incubate b2c apps.
Would be great if you also knew how to set up an intake form to get a specific brief in order to design the workshop.
Bonus if you know how to design and set-up early stage usability experiments via landing pages/figma to validate problems/solutions before developing a MVP.

Here’s a post asking about comp differences. The responses probably contain most of what you’re looking for.
Being equity is a lot more demanding but your also a lot more influential. Being no equity is basically like being a senior associate. If you’re good you’re highly valued. But there’s not a ton of security in most firms and you’re definitely paid less and have less status. “Senior Counsel” means different things at different firms. At mine Sr. Counsel are all former partners who no longer wanted to deal with partnership demands but still have value to the firm. Some are paid like associates. Other are paid like high share partners. Some work full time. Others very part time.
If this doesn’t tell you what you want to know, feel free to ask follow ups.

Equity partners share profits from the firm (BIG money). Salary partners do not- they are partners by name only. It’s much more difficult at some firms to become an equity partner. They are also expected to (continue to) make it rain.
Those who have the gold make the rules. Clients are gold. Does not mean there are the best lawyers or the smartest lawyers, but they command the most because they have loyal clients/gold.
