What’s the going rate for a freelance Sr. AE or AS? The recruiter said the pay range for SR. AE was 40-45/hr and AS 45-55/hr. I have 16+ years experience and have worked at legacy agencies as well as smaller agencies. I’ve never freelanced so I’m not sure if they are low balling me, the pay seems low. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I’ve been interviewing at an agency with the intention of filling a Director role. Recruitment reached out soon after my last meet-and-greet interview (about 6 to 7 people total) to tell me the team thinks I would be best suited for an Associate Director role with a fast follow of a Director promotion.

Recruitment can’t tell me what feedback is creating this gap but also won’t stop mentioning the positive praise and feedback the team had for me.
