So many useless Partners that don’t know how to sell but circle like hawks to “add value” when they sniff you have a large deal. I honestly feel we could get rid of 25% of our Partners and maintain the same revenue and growth rate.
Agree. There should be forced sabbaticals to see if those people are missed at all when they’re absent. Sometimes their absence might actually make thing run better.
Being a partner in title but not in firm authority or decisions.
Agree. Sometimes I feel like associates have more say than I do as a partner

Selling a large deal and in the middle of delivering it…. Then being asked to sell “2 or 3 more” by morons in leadership who don’t serve or talk to clients

Being an “income partner”, basically another management level with too little control over key decisions or strategy

Bureaucracy, Independence, and a “what have you done for me lately” mindset of the firm.

Sales that are not referrals. Referrals are easy because you know you can help and issue is defined. But, it’s hard to hit goal on just referrals.
Additional sales are like “referrals”. You have a relationship already. I guess I should have said “new” sales. Bringing in new clients is hard.
