I don’t think we need any more tech advancements at the moment
I vote for no more tech advances
Honestly things are shaking up so fast I'm half convinced the next big thing will be people disengaging with tech, or if we'll be able communicate "online" in a way people at all trust anymore. And I can't tell whether this is a take fueled by pessimism or optimism.
It’s not particularly big tech but gaming is such an overlooked space that is still considered a novelty or specialty approach, whether it’s actual ingame integration (sponsored challenges) or natural in-game ads (a billboard in a racing game) or even “watch this ad to earn a free life”
There are tons of opportunity to mix physical and digital (I’m intentionally not saying “phygital”) with known titles or in platform stuff.
People have been saying AR/ VR for a while and then AI snuck in and took over. I think it’s hard to predict the next big tech advance because it’s likely something the general public isn’t paying attention to yet. But maybe more AR/ VR layered with AI could gain traction soon?
