What’s the shortest time you’ve seen someone laid-off after landing on the bench? Approaching 4 weeks and afraid I might be considered. Doing BD here and there but nothing solid in the pipeline.

Seeing a lot of posts regarding layoffs/recession. Curious to know if smaller big4 offices are more likely to layoff staff vs bigger offices?

At D feeling guilty for avoiding layoffs as I haven’t worked more than an hour a week since WFH began. I automated almost all of my work and told nobody. My PPMD thinks these analyses take hours when in reality I change a few variables in my boilerplate code and say I’m “managing data integrity” for hours

Have you been fired before even starting your new job?

I signed for a new job two months ago and will start next month (3 mo notice period in Europe). They were very keen on getting me on-board ASAP before signing but since I signed the contract it has been silent from the new employee. I've emailed them with questions as I'll be re-locating to NL and it takes them 1-2 weeks to reply. Given all that's going on in the world, I'm worried they might fire me before I even start.

Do Exl fire employees who are on bench since a longer duration?

Looking for tips! I got staffed on a PMO Support engagement for the next few months. I am not contributing or controlling any deliverables as it’s a whole different group managing that. To prevent utilization impact, I thought it wouldn’t be that bad but here I am doing admin work.
