Hi all,
I joined KPMG around 3 months ago but I am not getting work here. Although, I qualified some project's interview, yet due to some internal reason, they considered someone else, and I again came on bench.
I am unable to figure out what can be done now.
Should I start searching work outside.
(I hardly see any job openings these days)

How's the resource management here?
(do they lagOff?)
Any inputs will be helpful.
Thanks!
So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?
I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

If you think time is a valid criterion for promotion, you should reassess.
Do whatever feels best. Whenever you stop learning. I moved 7 times in 10 years. Worked out nicely. Do what you feel like
@creative technologist 1 time seems to be a pretty valid criterion for whether you're making a difference or being recognized for your contribution. if you spend too much time at the same position then it seems fair to consider moving to another opportunity otherwise you seem complacent. The question to me seems to be what is that time frame between being a team player and being complacent.
If you assume a baseline of quality work that exceeds expectations, yes. If you feel deserving of a promotion for average performance, no, no matter how much time served.
Oh, and if you really are that bright, rising star, you shouldn't worry about your title so much. You'll be recognized.
Lastly, if you workplace has boring clients, and your team strives for mediocrity, get the fuck out as soon as you can.
Two years isn't too short. But ultimately if you know what your interests are and you find a job elsewhere that's checking off all your boxes then go for it
Twenty-four hours.
You don't accept doing average work. Ever. In any situation. There is potential in every account you are on. If you're surrounded by average, it shouldn't be hard to appear exceptional. Step up and lead. If you're average, changing workplaces might give you the opportunity to learn from good or even great people. In either case looking inward is likely where your answer is.
Most i have stayed somewhere is 3 years but I feel like I need to settle in to roles. Year two is usually the best
If you want to keep making more money then yeah, move after 2 years if you haven't gotten a significant raise/promotion. The company is looking out for its best interests, why shouldn't you.
^so how long do you accept doing average work before moving to a team where you can do excellent work?
1-2 years is legit if you have a solid alibi for leaving the old place
