I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

your PTO is paid out and you can stay with ML or roll over to an IRA elsewhere
K1 I have never heard of a company requiring you to roll over your 401k to them. Do you know of one that does?
Does KPMG make you exit their 401k with Merrill upon exit? Or can you stay in the plan?
No, but if you move to another big4 firm they may require you to exit KPMG's 401k and put it into an IRA.
Rollover may be required by your new employer.
I just had to roll my 401k over to an IRA. I was with EY, and KPMG makes everyone roll out of their previous employer's 401k.
EY made me do the same thing when I got hired there, and we had to roll my wife's to an independent IRA when she retired.
Doesn't have to be the new employer's plan, but cant keep money in the previous employer 401k.
