When people ask what do you do, do you mention you’re a partner? Or a consultant in xyz topic?

Is it bad to spend time with your SO every weekend? We’re both busy during the week so weekends are the only time we get

I’ve been working as a digital strat manager for the past 5 yrs. Every yr I have been recommended for a promotion and have gone above and beyond what my job description calls for but the promotion hasn’t happened. I have a great team and I’m generally pretty happy. Recently, my coworker who has been there for the same time as me got promoted to Senior Manager and I, who returned to work in February after having my second baby didn’t. I can’t help but think that is because I’m a mom. Thoughts?

Transition to Consulting? Going to have 2-3 competing jobs offers that I need to make a decision by the end of the week on.

I am 3 years out of school with a Bch of ChemEng. I have found myself in the Clinical Trial Supply space as a Systems Analyst.

I can either stay in Big Pharma (probably for most $, suburbs) and expand past just Systems expertise or go into Life Science Consulting (get to work in NYC) and broaden my LS base.

If I don’t do consulting now will it hurt me in the future?

How are we going to keep up our grinds when we have to actually be in an office?

From consulting to investing / lending - anyone has guidance on how to make the move? I’m a consulting manager with finance experience pre-MBA. Thinking about pivoting into investing / lending but struggle to find an angle - assumed that it would be hard to break into investing but lending would be great (all the way from corporate banking to mezz). Any guidance on seeking relevant experience while in consulting?

I'd appreciate any insight on working as a management-side employment attorney in Dallas, or the market for employment lawyers. Browsing LinkedIn and doesn't seem like very many available positions. Thanks!

Anyone knows why DI is delaying the onboarding for a bunch of folks selected through campus placement? Some of the hires started their their onboarding in Sept and are well settled in the system and recent update from HR is that for everyone still waiting to get a joining date needs to undergo some training and up skilling program for 12 weeks ( a reduced stipend will be paid along with 1st months salary). Any insights will be helpful!!

Partners, other than sales and staff development, what’s a few goals you focus on each year?

I do things (late nights/weekends) that I don't think my managers/partner knows about since everything is running well - directly correlated with elected hours spent. Is it weird to bring this up?

Hi Partners! Last year when there was no bonus etc, it was my best year in EY and I actually made more money at EY compared to my previous years or this year(including the bonus and raise this year). Also keep feeling like I have been taken granted and not valued. I also don’t feel mentally challenged with what I am actually doing, just burning out. Want to have this conversation with the team. 25% increase base offer to move from Accenture SM to Deloitte SM. Thoughts? How do experienced hire SMs fare at Deloitte? Not on ACN short list

Up for partnership this year @ a big 4, however I have an offer in hand that doubles my Director salary. Should I take the sure thing or risk going through a vote with a recession looming?
