Start talking about cervical mucus in a LOT of detail!
I usually say not yet. If they persist I respond with after 5 miscarriages I’m wondering the same thing.
I just cannot believe people are still asking this question
Wow! And congrats!
It depends - lately I’ve been a hermit throughout my ivf journey. When asked, I’ve said “Gods timing is perfect” - shuts them up every time! Most of my extended family is religious, the second I say that, conversations are over!

This is the exact reason my MIL does not get updates on our IVF journey. The “hurry up” after 5 years almost made me lose it on her.
We have been trying for a while; all in God’s timing.
I just say we are not ready yet and might decide to be child free. I don’t need more pressure
When they pushed, I just started being honest. I decided I wasn’t embarrassed, and that if anyone should be embarrassed it should be them and not me. “Well we have been trying for three years and seeing a fertility specialist so hopefully soon but who knows at this point.“
Sometimes it leads to an embarrassed uncle trying to quickly change the subject. Sometimes it leads to good conversation and people with similar experiences or people who are just curious about what treatments are available or what they entail. In the first case, those people stopped asking. In the second case, those people might follow up but with more care and understanding.
"When God says so." This is truly how I felt and usually ended the entire discussion.
I always say, when God wants. But they don’t take the hint 😂
Depending on who it is I just say, we’re working on it:)
