Anyone with recent experience recruiting for Boston Consulting Group? Got in touch with a recruiter through referral, was directed to submit an application and already finished my pymetrics. Anyone know when I would be able to hear back and what the hiring timeline looks like? Recruiter suggested to get back in a few weeks but isn’t it too slow? McKinsey sent me an invite for 1st interview in a few days after they received my referral.
Bain & Company Got dinged after a final round AC interview with Bain & Company as an experienced hire with 1 YOE. Currently at $75k base salary and on average work 30-40 hours a week.
Considering $15-25k increase in salary, but double the number of work hours, is it worth reapplying to Bain next year or better to wait to apply until after business school?

In this boat now. I’m the breadwinner and need to rank stability higher than anything else.
I feel a bigger firm with less pay gives you more stability and better balance. For perspective, a VP at the firm I am at took 3 days off after his child’s birth and traveled the next week.
Never. Fortune favors the bold.
Depends what you value. People Culture, brand, money, the hours of the job, other benefits like 401k matching, believe in upside in the smaller company (watch out, we may be entering a recession), stability of the company etc. all factors to consider and all personal.
The better name brand could get you a higher paying job down the road. I basically only care about money, but that doesn’t mean I’m short sighted. Make sure the trade off isn’t a little more money now (small shop) vs way higher lifetime earnings (name brand shop)
