Houston insurance is expensive - regardless of provider. 🥲
First time insured will get you a higher rate because you have no risk history so that have to assume you may be a higher risk to cover their own asses.
State Farm.
I wfh so I drive like ~20 miles a week. Mostly to the gym and gf’s place.
Elephant insurance was way cheaper than all else I found.
Yes, elephant
I pay $151 for full coverage from State Farm on a new car
Lol no I have a 2020 Hyundai sonata with full coverage. I had been with Statefarm forever and they literally just raised my rate out of nowhere. I was paying $180 total with car and renters insurance in 2022. Dropped the rental policy because I bought a house and then they raised my rate
Try geico. Progressive was much cheaper for me and I drove an Acura, but I have my license for 14 years already so that may be why it is cheaper. State farm is the most expensive company I had quotes with, but cheapest for my brother. Geico has been in the middle range.
Opposite for me. My Acura was most expensive with Progressive. When I switched to State Farm it got cut in Half.
None.
The last 8 years or so, I've bounced between Geico and Progressive. Both Geico and Progressive gave quotes at Nov-22 renewal that were about 40% higher than the previous renewal. Switched to USAA. They were still about 30% higher than my last renewal, but less than anyone else this time.
State Farm, AllState, etc. have never been remotely competitive for me.
Married, 2 cars, 1 full coverage, 1 liability only - paying $192/month.
My Geico rate was much lower than what I was paying previously at Allstate.
