6 months - a senior manager with the 12 weeks of leave and then added PTO to it. I also heard of managers coming back after being on maternity leave for a few weeks and just working with the baby home with them (pre-COVID)
Yeah managers and above get 12 weeks fully paid and below that get 6 weeks. My last firm had 12 weeks fully paid for everyone
I took just over 6 months. You get two weeks before your due date per PwC's short term disability (four weeks in CA). I had slightly longer STD after because I had a c-section, plus about 3 months fully paid by the firm and my total vacation balance. I also took an additional couple of weeks unpaid. When you go back, you get 4 weeks back at 60% time, 100% pay. I was a second year senior when I took my leave.
I know people who have gone for longer periods, my SM went for almost 9 months because she tacked on her SM sabbatical.
Some tech companies offer 6 months maternity and paternity
At EY we get 16 weeks for both mom or dad doesn’t matter. You also have 10 sick days you can use so that’s 18 weeks. We also get 25 vacation days. So that’s another 5 weeks. All in you can get up to 23 weeks if you dumped everything.
