Which do you think will be hottest this year, quantum or AI?

AI will most likely be the “hottest” this year and beyond as a result of the immediate applicability and integration into daily life. Quantum, while highly promising, is still more of a long-term play and may generate hype only if a major breakthrough occurs.

That said, the fusion of AI and quantum computing (quantum-enhanced AI) could be a sleeper trend to watch!

The fusion of the two will be fascinating and scary at the same time.

AI because I’ve never heard of quantum

Oh you should look up quantum computing!

I think the hype around AI will continue through the year, it'll probably be a hot topic no matter what actually happens. Everybody is talking about AI as the solution to everything, even if they have utterly no idea how that's really going to happen. Quantum computing may be fascinating, but the general public has no awareness of it, so it just won't be hot in the same way.

I agree with you on this. Lots of different fields/industries are discussing AI, but I have heard a lot less about quantum.

I think AI is going to keep dominating this year. It’s already integrated into so many industries and continues to advance rapidly. Quantum tech is definitely exciting, but it might take a bit longer to fully take off. AI seems more immediate and well-known
