Business
This thread makes me feel underpaid..
Have you started thoughtful use of credit cards? If not, look into the Points Guy or the Choose FI Podcast 009. Rewards Travel. It’s super helpful! My husband and I flew to Asia in business using points to upgrade after I listened. We recently bought tickets to both Europe and South America solely using points based on these ideas also.
Anything over 3 hours is business/first for me even for personal trips.
I can’t do 15 hrs in economy anymore... back problems. So business it is 🤷♂️
Sydney? Polaris business on miles
Thanks all for inputs. I will go with business class but also realize I need to make more money.
I don’t even know how much I’ll have to make to justify for business class... 500k maybe?
I’d chose the $800 ticket if it’s non-stop and use my status to get upgraded to at least economy plus That gives you decent comfort at a great price. Don’t listen to these miles whores!!
Definitely business. That’s a steal
Business, no brainer. Don’t even think about flying economy on such a long flight, it’s a real pain
Business for sure
No brainer. 15 hrs great use of biz points. And that’s good value
What’s a business class seat cost? Then compare the 160k miles to that cost
So you’re getting roughly 2cents to the mile on a business class seat. I would use points over paying cash and for anything that long would go business
Doing coach with wife and kids to Australia pretty soon. But all on points so hope the beers keep me cool
7.5 hours one way is manageable, not delightful of course, in economy, so economy
15 hrs one way
How much are you making OP?
“Struggling” 😂
i would do the business class redemption. 2 cents per point is solid value. plus $800 out of pocket is a lot for any trip! what’s the point of being a traveling consultant if i still have to pay $800 for flights?!
Points
First world problems 😑
