Nothing scares an EA faster than last-minute changes, missing calendar invites, or being left off an email chain. “What meeting?”, “change of plans,” and “it’s not in my calendar” aren’t just phrases—they’re stress triggers. Clear communication and shared accountability make all the difference.
The phrase I never want to hear is "change of plans." That could mean not much of anything, but I've known instances where it mean pretty much everything. There's nothing more dispiriting than spending a lot of time and effort on a planned itinerary, for instance, only to have the plans go out the window.
