I have a salary range in mind for a new role based on online research and target increase from my comp now. But my research shows the data points are for salaries in HCOL areas. Do I need to adjust what I ask for if it’s a remote role and I’m not in HCOL city? Don’t want to overshoot and lose a great opportunity.
I’m sore. BF and I WFH all last week and let’s just say coffee breaks got on the wild side. Let’s see what this week holds..
Got selected to a project where location is not same where I am joining, when manager said lets see when office opens after WFH will they ask me to relocate ? consider it as banking project
I recently transitioned to wfh full-time, in house. Amazing gig - I’m not complaining - but I literally never have to wear suits or anything fancy. Coworkers wear t-shirts, rarely blouses. My background is litigation, so I’m used to wearing sweaters, cardigans, suits, dresses. I don’t want to be the only one wearing business casual outfits but I can’t bring myself to wear a tank top/t-shirt and sweats/leggings every day. Advice for what to wear to wfh now that I’m just dressing for me? (Cont.)
Anyone else? I have a full set up (multiple monitors, standing desk, the whole nine) in my home office, but as often as I can (like when I have a webinar or training to watch) I like to sit on the couch with just the laptop and get the full benefits of puppy snuggles 🥰🥰
Anyone meet clients at home? I'm an RIA, and my home office is much nicer than my office. Unfortunately it doesn't have a separate entrance and you have to walk through the living room/kitchen.
What are your home office must haves? I lateraled to a new firm that is giving me a $500 stipend for home office equipment, furniture, supplies, etc. But I can't use the stipend for anything they have already provided me (keyboard, mouse, dock, monitor). I do plan on getting a printer. Any other ideas?
My home office had a makeover and I upgraded to a standing desk! I now have a box of books and college textbooks ready to donate. Is there anywhere I could take them to donate considering... South Fl

Anyone have a recommendation for a wireless router, my Asus AC1900 has been having problems recently. Live in a Chicago hi-rise with the wiring built in, just need a router to make the connection. Thanks!
Hi all, I would appreciate your thoughts - I’ve been really struggling to adjust to long-term WFH and just have been extremely unhappy with it (feelings of isolation, burnout, hopelessness). I realize I’m not spending time on commute and such, not wearing uncomfortable clothes, but I’m still really miserable. I feel like most of my daily joy used to come from live interaction with people. I know many of y’all are really thriving on WFH and need your help / thoughts on how best to adjust. TIA!!
During the interview, my reporting manager told me that I need to relocate to the city where the Job is, now that I've accepted the offer, can I ask to be remote and if it cannot be granted, can I back up from the offer?
Offers to choose from: 1. 115 base plus 20k rsu with 5k each year 2. 130 base with 7.5k of equity right now. Both give a bonus in equity and no real range there. Like company 1 product and team more and could negotiate but don’t know how to
Is it OK to go to certain events while on parental leave? I am not doing casework but I also don’t want to miss out on a key training that is rarely offered, for example. Or annual practice meetings

My job was affected by COVID. I’m have a T20 MBA, closing in on two final round interviews one for a well know pharma consulting firm and the other for F 500 healthcare company as a regional ops director. I like both companies equally but looking to taking a shot at MBB in the next two years. Any advice?
How do you think we should help and encourage non union workers even the ones not in education?
What is your firm’s paternity leave policy?
Scam artists that appear somewhat legit, but then cracks start to appear in their narratives. In my case, I have a potential client purportedly from Japan who says he said he wanted me to negotiate a P and A to sell industrial storage storage tanks to a business in North America. Now, it’s coming that that business is purportedly an investment firm, with 12 other businesses in a joint venture to purchase the tanks, that wants to send me checks to go into my IOLTA account. Sim. stories?
Hello, I am working with reputed BFSI client. Having 9.0 years of experience in .net technologies. Working since 5.5 years with same client. Now looking for better opportunity. Please guide in my job search.
What is a great gift/gesture to thank someone for referring you for a really good role that you accepted? What would you appreciate? I am sure he got a nice referral bonus from the firm but want to do something, and he absolutely deserves it (but is the type to never expect anything).
Looking for some advice. Currently contributing 10% to 401k and maxing out Roth IRA, and remainder of savings (usually $800-$1200 per month) putting in a HYSA for a down payment on a house. Hoping to buy in 2-3 years once we (partner & I) have a sizable down payment. Should I continue to put all my non-retirement savings in an HYSA for a downpayment or should I also contribute to my brokerage and invest to grow wealth? (24yo, $85k)
As a staff 2, is comp that much better outside of consulting? I make more than most my peers in industry. Does the comp bump only become apparent at the senior/manager level?
