Hi Fishes,
I Will be Joining PWC AC B as SA2 on Sept 2,2022. Just want to know about Appraisal cycle. Is it Mid Year or Annual appraisal process. Also, will I be eligible for next appraisal cycle ? Tried asking the same Question to HR, but didn't get a proper response. She just mentioned as per company policy.

I got a remote L6 SWE offer at Google but the RSUs are too low for that level ($625k over 4 years), could not negotiate it higher. I’ve accepted the offer but trying to be hopeful that I could make it more equitable in the future if I perform well. Are stock refreshers based on the initial RSU grant or solely based on performance? Google

Dude it’s hopeless. It’s impossible to quarantine in the same apartment as other infected people. You probably already have it.
KPMG1 No one said hes going to die??? Covid is an airborne virus and just because he does not have symptoms yet does not mean he doesnt have it. For all we know he could have been the original carrier and asymptotic. First thing they should is get tested to see if any of their efforts are already in vain. If they dont have it yet then they consider taking serious steps but unless they sleep with a mask on they will likely be infected eventually as the virus will reach a certain level of saturation in the air especially with central AC. If they have one of those window units then theres a chance that the air isnt circulating in the whole house and they can contain the virus to one room but OP will have to post to clarify that. Im not trying to fear monger. I just think they should get tested before wasting their time stressing out over something that has either a) already happened or b) inevitably going to
Wear mask indoors. Sorry you have to deal with this

just be sure to disinfect surfaces and that both of you agree to be careful ... if it worries you too much then maybe you can stay somewhere else for 14 days and then just come back and be normal
14 days is the incubation period. The roommate may or may not still be infectious after 14 days, depending on how their body fights the virus.
Did you also get tested? There’s a chance you might already have it if you have been interacting with each other. Wear masks at home, keep windows open if you can, clean frequently. A lot of hotels are super cheap now so maybe you could also just go somewhere else.
If you have central AC theres nothing youll be able to do to prevent it. I would recommend accepting that youll catch it or even already have it. Go get tested and try not to spread it outside your apartment
Get tested immediately. If you have it, then no need to isolate from each other. If you don’t have it rent a car and drive home - to your parents or stay with other family/friend. Get out of there now.
I would not drive to my parents, even if I tested negative, knowing I was that close to someone who is positive. Maybe after 14 days of isolation and still negative
