They are still dumb little kids - they are just more vocal.
Being young goes hand-in-hand with being dumb. You take more risks and find out through experience what works for you or not. It’s all about trial and error at that age.
I agree. Watching thirsty teens do the carol baskin dance makes me extremely assured of their maturity
Disagree with everything except being in better shape, as being and IG model is everyone’s hope, lately. We have the highest rates of depression, anxiety, mental stability/overall degenerative problem solving skills and more are great indicators at how they’re not understanding the real world. Internet does not = real world. You can’t hide from the real world, like most tend to do.
This. Social media is sucking away attention and creating countless cases of anxiety/depression. All while parents of teens didn’t grow up with this stuff and don’t know how to combat it. I think things will turn for the worse until millennials have older children, because we know how dangerous social media can be
The same way we are not doing the mistakes our parents did. It is looking at older gen, seeing what they are doing wrong and then not doing it.
Possibly true - but growing up in a social media environment has made them more curated. They might be in better shape, but they are much better at finding angles and pictures that make them look good. They might be more aware, but they also likelier to just be reiterating the right/popular answer as opposed to using their brains to actually figure it out.
M2 this right here! The curation skill is just used more often than we had to. I think the problem solving skill is used less
tik tok isn't the general population
Is this a joke? Jesus cmon
At 35, I look at 25 year olds on their phone and no wonder attention spans are shot
Rising Star
I’m 40. In my day we didnt have smart phones, apps, or even the indestructible nokia when I was in high school.
News flash, nothings changed other than the medium used to communicate. We did stupid/fun shit in high school in the 90’s. Just like kids do now.
Yeah and then think about you felt when you watched Superbad for the first time. Every generation is better than the last
Or so it seems.....
Hey I felt the same too. It seems as though kids these days know so much more and I always cringe thinking about myself - was selfish, unaware of news, and socially awkward and never dressed well. It could be just social media though
