I do generic Vyvanse and not had any problems with getting it.
I switched from adderall XR to concerta during the last shortage that happened a couple years ago for this exact reason.
Not a perfect substitute, but the consistency of access is more important to me than having my drug of choice. Hang in there, friend.
Really sorry to hear that! I take Focalin XR and IR and don't think I've ever experienced a shortage in the US. I've given Focalin to friends on Adderall when there were Adderall shortages, and they said Focalin worked well for them. Would temporarily switching be possible?
I switched from Adderall to Dyanavel. No more shortages and I tolerate it better
Can you try a different generic?
I feel you. The silver lining for me has been trying to leverage non-med interventions like exercise, etc. not perfect but it’s better than feeling helpless about the situation. Hoping it continues to get better over the course of the year and into 2027.
Agree. I like a specific brand, the others I don’t feel anything helpful. I also have narcolepsy so I neeeed it to work
I thankfully haven’t gotten to the point where I need the stimulant from Adderall or other controlled adhd meds. I know I’ve been using a lot more herbal and coping mechanism for adhd on top of my Strattera. It has seemed to help a bit. Pomodoro timers that I find on YouTube. Brain dumping into a journal through out the day (if anyone ever read it, it would probably look like some weird manifesto), turning my task into a game like a spinning wheel to tell me what to do next. I know what task I want to do and letting the wheels decide gives me a chance to hope for that one or quickly get another done so I can spin again tog et the one I want. Attempting movement while I work. Idk if any of that would help you but thought I might share I case it helps anyone else while we get through the shortages.
Concerta has worked perfectly for me for over 20 years and there has never been any shortages.
