My wife is a family doctor, she is working insane hours, she is treating covid patients, and there is a lot of days when she has to stay at the hospital without coming home. My neighbour works in a local grocery store, so he has been at work since the Day 1 of lockdown. Well I recently told a guy I have been seeing I have HSV-2. We have not yet been physical but it’s been heading that direction. Man I hate this part - waiting to see what his response will be after he researches and talks to his doctor. I’m on daily meds which help reduce transmission risk. You’d think that since HSV-2 affects 20% of Americans and likely a higher % of gay men, there would be less taboo but it’s hardly ever talked about. Anyone else in my shoes? Or had it disclosed to them?

I just started meds yesterday and the change in my focus and attention to detail is mind blowing. My only concern is, just yesterday I had a tough feedback session with my manager around how I’m taking too long to complete my work, giving them anxiety around close deadlines. I’m new in the job (3 months in). Should I explain anything about my adhd to my manager or just wait for them to notice the change in me?

My husband and I want to start a family so in preparation for pregnancy I tried lowered my Vyvanse dose from 40 mg to 30 mg to see if I could get by on lower dose. I feel like I’m not even taking medicine at all. When you lowered a dose did you get used to this feeling or should I know right away that this isn’t going to work? I feel withdrawal like my brain is slow and I can’t keep a thought in my mind long enough to finish the thought. I’m on day 4 and it sucks!

I have been using this emoji 🙏 and saying to so many colleagues and clients “I’ll pray for you” with such warm and genuine receipt that I think sometimes God uses hopelessness to open people’s hearts to Him. I’ve spoken about my faith to work people more than I ever have in my 20 year career. In such a dark time, what a light prayer can be for our coworkers and clients.
