Who have you needed to convince regarding the power of CTE? There’s always someone who thinks “this is for people that can’t” when we know that it’s a power move for all that are interested to accelerate and grow! 😎

That person that thinks CTE is for “those that can’t” needs to attend any of the many CTE classes!! CTE is where the magic happens. We give students the opportunity to apply everything they’ve learned in their core courses to a real world project. If Math/ English/ Science/ History could show why it’s important to take those classes, there’d be no need for CTE. So until a teacher can show a student why they need calculus or chemistry, or learn about the war of 1812 or how to format a white paper … I’ll (thankfully) still have a job.

And don’t get me started on school counselors that feel CTE is a dumping ground.

Am I overreacting thinking this is a major slight that will ultimately slow down my growth within the company?

Hey Dallas folks!

I want to get to know the local private companies. I worked at a private company with 2-3k employees before my MBA. They had an amazing culture, but limited progression opportunities. I'm thinking about looking for a smaller company (couple hundred to couple thousand employees) in the Dallas area and looking to find an amazing culture.

Anyone have recommendations on companies with great cultures in the Dallas/north of Dallas areas? (I live in the Plano/Allen/Mckinney area)
