This lady wrote a book to help you get out of your uncreative routine and do the thing you actually want to do with your life that could give it meaning and bring you fulfillment… and you’re all looking for ways to “hack” it and “get around” her suggestions.
Yeah, which is a smart approach. The book’s a chore and a bore haha.
Put in the work. There’s no cheat code for it.
It is life changing. There isn’t a hack. You have to do the work to get the rewards from it. That’s the whole point.
Trying to find a “hack” to skip the central part of the system might mean it isn’t for you
Three pages daily is definitely challenging, but I adapted it by doing just one page, and three only on days I have the time for it. Trust me, I'd write three daily, but it's just not possible considering my schedule. I find that it's still beneficial for the clarity and creativity. that these pages promise. That being said, i don't think the book is for everyone, but since you've got past 30 pages, inch a little further - I know many who have found value in the book's exercises and principles, even if they don't complete the full program.
It’s a little woo-woo but basically boils down to write a little bit every day and do things that engage the artistic part of your brain every week, like walking in nature or going to a museum - whatever inspires you.
Exactly. Like 99% of books like this, it could've been a 500 word substack.
But the main points are solid.

The spiritualism in the book might be too much for some people. It basically boils down to do you believe if a Higher Power or not. It walks you through 12 steps and gives you various tools to better handle creative blocks. The two biggest tools are artist walks and morning pages. Everything else is useful but not as important as those two.
Do it by time not page count. An hour or two each morning.

Most people should be able to hit 3 pages in 30 mins in a moleskin
You may want to read different chapters out of order. “Morning Pages” is but one tool.

Is it on one of the 15 minute book summary apps? I’ve zoomed through seem decent reads.
Did it for months. Did nothing.
I hate it, but I have to admit it’s sparked some really interesting thinking for me.
