I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.
I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @

Because headlines need ideas
Could be they’re hanging onto a last shred of hope for good news for you - either getting approvals for the role you interviewed for, or poking around to see if anything’s coming up soon to keep you engaged... 🤞🏼🤞🏼Not an excuse, but a possible reason why. Still warrants some kind of update, either way.
Or, they’re inexperienced and haven’t learned the value of building relationships & strong communication skills.
Or, they’re hearing bad feedback and not sure how to close the loop with you (again, inexperience plays a big part here).
Or, they’re just crappy people who give good recruiters a bad name. :(

They’re not judged negatively [by their superiors] for doing it. They’re judged by the quality and volume of their candidates/hires.
Many recruiters are also overwhelmed/short staffed.

Note - I’m not defending them. And I’m definitely not a recruiter...
Like VP1 said: because it is not their job to follow up with you if you're not in their list of considerations.
Might I suggest: if you want an answer, ask for it?
I have a personal policy: I'm nice to all recruiters... but if you missed a meeting or you ghosted me, I will not give two sh1ts about them or their companies (present and future). I'll blacklist them.
