Why doesn't Amex provide OPD insurance. It's quite basic for an organisation that harps on its employee friendly benefits. Thay also have no forum or portal to raise these grievances..
For all the drama they do around mental health, would be much more effective to set aside a couple of days of mental health leaves rather than "headspace" time that nobody avails or ridiculous talks with randoms from the industry in the name of mental health benefits.

Exactly my point, i too think that Amex is a little overhyped on this part as even startups give better benefits than them, didn't receive anything on diwali whereas the other firms have given alot
Exactly. No Diwali gift other than a stupid email from the VP and "COE". Is there even an HR function? If yes, is there anything they do?

People raved about how employee friendly the organization is to me before I joined, but hate to break it to them that there is far more to employee friendliness than WLB.
Frankly, its of no use to raise anything here. The only thing leadership cares is work. Raising concerns is of no vain, neither they want to listen to feedback or concerns neither they want to act upon them.

Your salary would have an extra component by the name of medical allowance (refered to as domicilary in your offer letter) which is above your base salary, caters to the OPD expenses as far as i know.
It's non taxable. It falls under 80D. Can check from the income tax statement
