I am getting a Analyst designation at delloite for a 1.7 years experience of it experience.
Should I try to get the consultant designation as the salary range will also open a bit as they r giving me 9.5. Should I just wait a few more months to get 2 years experience and apply the consultant position.

@Leo1 — it’s amazing what questions people can easily answer for themselves with a simple Google search. But as you can see by the post, they aren’t looking for an answer so much as they feel a need to be heard. I find that quite depressing 😞
Not if you’re salaried.
Salaried employees are classified as exempt, meaning they’re exempt from FLSA overtime pay requirements. Employers are only required to pay non-exempt workers for overtime. The reason is that as salaried employees, we get paid the same amount no matter how many hours we work. So we could ostensibly sometimes work less than forty hours, and sometimes more. Obviously doesn’t really happen that way.
Thanks for the responses! Makes sense. Case closed.

No. And yet Sir Martin has more money than god and doesn’t do squat.
Yes, you see non-exempt if you make less than 48k. That’s pretty new. The previous threshold was around 25k. In most cases, it made more sense for agencies to bump employees under the salary threshold up to meet it rather than pay them overtime.
I work for WPP and our junior team members make overtime. I think it's based on salary?
