Hi, I recently came across Scaler's MS program, which offers masters degree in collaboration with Woolf University (European University). And, I am looking move to Canada in near future. Will the master degree offered through this course will be accepted by the education evaluation institute WES? If yes, is it considered as equivalent to Canadian Masters degree? Nope. D does not allow telecommuting due to international tax implications. My teammate was fired last year when they found he was working from outside US for extended duration and didn’t report it. I suggest you consult with Talent for possible options if it’s absolutely necessary to work from India. Also, Please note that your laptop location is monitored.
Haha I actually liked that joke!
Well my point is that if you had a sick family member or equivalent I would risk it. Maybe not for a fun trip. I just wanted to give OP a view of the balanced risk.
Some of the replies here are misleading. If there is a project need for you to travel to USI offices to work with USI colleagues, then you can work from USI offices and D also covers expenses related to the travel. However, with the pandemic, all USI travel now needs SLL approval which might be difficult to come now given the offices are not open right now. This is assuming the project has a USI component. For people on projects with no USI component, it is a no go.
You’ll have to do it on PTO
Just search for telecommuting on DNet. It shows you what the policy is. It’s up to you to decide if you want to risk it.
Telecommuting is if you are perforiming the duties you are supposed to do in US outside the country. It is perfectly fine to go to USI on a short term assignment. Of course due to COVID, project assignments are paused at this moment.
