Winter question: Are we supposed to keep dress shoes at work and wear gore-tex boots to and from?

That’s what I’ve done in the past. But I worked for a different company and had a dedicated private office. You maybe able to fit them in your bag too.

I always kept a generic pair of heels and flats under my desk. If i wanted to lug a special pair of shoes in to match my outfit, I did. But i often just wore my “work heels”

Yes. I always wore big warm boots to go in and just had a few pairs of shoes at my desk

Yup, even as a guy I do it.

Same here. Saves your shoes from getting completely trashed from all the salt and slush.

I recently took a job with a top tier investment manager, which is a step up in title and responsibilities. I went through the typical “notice” conversations with my current employer. My boss, who was a significant supporter and mentor of me during my time at my current firm, told me that he doesn’t think my new firm is “long term” for me. Anyone ever get something like this before? It threw me off because I was hoping for his support, understanding that it’s tough for him temporarily

Hi all, I am trying to DCA bi-weekly into Vanguard ETFs, (VO, VTI etc). It seems like Fidelity does not support auto buying of non-Fidelity ETFs. So I was wondering which of these options you think is best?

1. Open a Vanguard Invest account
2. Look for Fidelity ETFs that are similar to Vanguard ETFs
3. Use smaller brokerages like SoFi l, Robinhood etc.

I really do not want to manage nor be active. My goal is to log-in like once every 6 months.

Thank you all.
